Since there are 12,000 memorial partakers, thatleads me to believe there are only 132,000 overseeing the preaching work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have learned it is true that life is too short. Before you know it the grass is no longer green.
I have learned that when you have love in your life whether it be from a spouse, a child, a parent or a true friend not to take it for granted.
I have learned that waiting for "the real life" caused wasted years of actually living a life. The time lost cannot be regained.
I have learned that the WTBTS and the F&DS are an illusionary representative of Almighty God.
I have learned that there were more liars I associated with in the "Christian Cong" then I had ever associated in "the world".
I have learned that when you give someone else the right to make decisions on your behalf you give up control of your life.
I have learned that even I was not smart enough to realize I'm part of a cult.
I have learned that even after your loved one is gone that the love not only remains but grows.
I have learned that learning can sometimes be painful.

Hello ~ New Here.
by witnomore inalthough i haven't been a witness for over 20 years, it has taken me that long to finally feel brave enough to join another church (aka christendom) and begin researching my past beliefs.
all this research has opened a few old wounds, but mostly liberated me from a lot of quilt.

Hello and Welcome Witnomore.
I don't think I will ever be a part of a religion or church after I FAAAAAAAAAAAAAADE from the JW's. But having Free Will is a good thing and if your happy and fulfilled and still believe in God then I'm happy for you!!! I still believe in God,
And I was wondering... how tangled up were you in that Quilt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Survey: How Sure are you of Your Beliefs?
by simon17 ini find it interesting to see, not just the state of people's beliefs, but how sure they are of them.
or asked another way, what is the percent chance people feel they are wrong about their current beliefs.
so state your current core beliefs about jws, christianity, god, and a percentage 0-100% of how sure you are that this belief is correct.

Even B4 I had a religion I believed in God and still do.
I am certain that the WTBTS could not be Jehovah's Org.
And YES I do believe the Bible is inspired and I'm certain that the F&DS is NOT!

A petition that really works! Change the law to bring the WTS to its knees!
by Diest ini know that most people on here dislike the idea of a petition, but i think i finally realized a petition that could really work.
in the candice conti case she was allowed to start a civil lawsuit that was way past the statute of limitations.
because california has changed the their civil statute of limitations in sexual abuse cases.. so how do petitions come in?

Could Assemblies Be Wrecked?
by metatron inassemblies at the reading pa. assembly hall are getting disrupted repeatedly by somebody who keeps pulling fire alarms.
many witlesses blame it on "apostates" - rather than the dissolute teenagers who used to do such things in my day.. there are lots of things that so-called 'apostates' may do to disrupt assemblies including bomb threats phoned in, swat teams called, printed green insults stuffed into collection boxes etc.
add prohibitions against strollers and you have lots of reasons not to attend and thereby avoid the annoyances.

What brought you here?
by leaving_quietly infolks here all have one thing in common: they are somehow associated with jws, either were one, are married to one, have a relative who is one, has a romantic interest in one, are are currently one.
perhaps you are not one, but something about jws bugs you enough to have found this forum, and read it and contribute to it.
what brought you here?

L_Q.
I had started to reason and came out of a 20 year stupor- hence the "RVW"
Nothing that I want to tell in detail- I had Qstns and started to doubt certain things.
But, inadvertently, I found this site as a result of Googling for a specific piece of JW lit that I could not get off the website.
So glad that I did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The funny part of it was that after finding it, I checked with an elder to make sure it was OK to obtain it from this site.
I actually received permission to be HERE!!!!!!!!
